Mary Mwangi

Kenya Programmes Manager

Mary oversees the management of all our projects in Kenya and works closely with our UK Director Vic, our UK Board of Trustees and our Kenyan Board of Management.


Vic Hancock Fell

UK Director

Vic leads the work of Raising Futures Kenya from the UK and works closely with our Kenyan team and UK Board of Trustees to secure income for the charity, ensure the impact and sustainability of our projects.


Vicky Powell

Fundraising Officer

Vicky helps us raise vital income for our projects by organising exciting events, taking on epic challenges and working with our school and church supporters.


Sherry Waweru

Kenya Projects Officer

Sherry oversees our projects with a specific emphasis on our Seed of Hope centres. She is also responsible for monitoring the impact of all our projects and working with Vic and Vicky to help keep our donors up to date with our work.


Winfred Kavutha

Kenya Projects Officer

Winfred supports the implementation of our projects with particular focus on our family strengthening project and child protection and safeguarding.



Seed of Hope Administrator

Florence teaches Fashion and Design at our Seed of Hope Nairobi Centre and also oversees the management of our other two rural Seed of Hope centres. Florence also supports our students with counselling, mentorship and personal guidance.


Seed of Hope Kitui Headteacher

Charity is the Head Teacher at our rural Seed of Hope Kitui centre in Eastern Kenya. She leads a team of teachers and support staff and works closely with the centre's Board of Management and Florence, the Seed of Hope Administrator.


Seed of Hope Kariti Headteacher

Margaret is the Head Teacher at our rural Seed of Hope Centre in Kariti, Muranga County. She leads the team of staff and the Board of Management and works closely with Florence, our Seed of Hope Administrator.

Andy King

Chair of Trustees

Andy has 5 years' experience working in development and holds a 2:1 BA Hons Degree from the University of Warwick. In 2018 Andy won an award from the Institute of Fundraising for ‘Best Newcomer’ for his work in student fundraising


Dr Noorzaman Rashid

Adviser to the Board

Noorzaman has over 20 years board and executive level experience working across national and international organisations to improve individual, team and organisational performance. He is currently a Managing Partner of a leadership development, advisory and consultancy firm working to create sustainable organisations.

James Bramble


James is the Director at Grant Smart, a consultancy offering expert support to grant-seekers, grant-managers, and grant-makers. He was previously Director of Development at the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR).

Deborah Kimathi


Deborah is Raising Futures Kenya’s former Field Director and is now CEO at Dignitas Project, another small Kenyan NGO. She has a Masters in Education and International Development from University College London and over fifteen years' experience working in education and development.

Jo Chamberlain


Jo is the Church Communications Officer at Christian Aid and has over 5 years' experience working within the non-profit sector in the UK. She has a first class Masters degree in International Relations.


Andrew Munnings


Andrew is a highly experienced Project/Operations Manager focusing on financial crimes and compliance. He grew up in South Africa and volunteers for a number of nonprofit organisations.

Paula Aliontye


Paula has an MSc in NGO Management from Cass Business School Centre for Charity Effectiveness in London and is an exceptional fundraiser. She has experience in direct marketing, relationships fundraising, events and corporate fundraising.

Brogan Pierce


Borgan is our trustee responsibility for staff, Board and Trustee welfare. She is currently completing an MA in Educational Leadership, focussing on mental health provision in primary schools.

Shaherazad Umbreen


Shaz supported our work with girls and women in Kenya for years before joining as Patron in 2018. She is the CEO of Shoes by Shaherazad, a socially conscious business working in partnership with Global Giving, whose purpose is to fund the education of women and girls living in poverty across the world.

Stephanie Lemkes

Social media volunteer

Stephanie has been a supporter of the charity since 2004 when she was just 14 years old! She is now an integral part of our team supporting our social media management to keep all our supporters up to date with our work.

Josh Dickinson


Josh is studying for a BA in Politics and International Relations at the University of Exeter and is a volunteer for a number of charities. He supports us with researching and writing grant applications.

Laura Roberts


Laura has been a senior member of staff in a small accountancy practice for the past 9 consecutive years. She has been an ACCA member since 2011 and has a BA Hons degree in Business Management with Finance and Economics
