Your donation DOUBLED NOW! 30th Nov – 7th Dec

Big Give Double Donations

For ONE WEEK ONLY your donation through the Big Give Christmas Challenge website will be DOUBLED!  STARTING NOW!

One donation = twice the impact!

We are taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge – a fantastic matched funding opportunity where all donations to Raising Futures (made via the Big Give website only) between 30th November and 7th December are doubled £ for £.

We’ve set an ambitious target of £6,600 in donations during the week, which would be doubled to a massive £13,200, to fund vocational training, business skills, mental health support, warm lunches and wellbeing support for vulnerable young people in Kenya. This training and support will enable them to find a job or start a business and build a future free from poverty. The gift of education will keep giving every year.

UPDATE 1/12/21: Wow, unbelievably we have met our Big Give Christmas Challenge target in the first 5 hours! HUGE thank you to our wonderful supporters, we’re a bit overwhelmed! HOWEVER, we have another funder who will match donations raised above our target, up to £3,000 – so please keep donating and sharing our social media posts with your friends and family!

Can you help us reach our target?

We’re asking our wonderful family of supporters if you could consider a donation to our appeal by ‘donating a gift’ between the 30th November and 7th December.  We know this is the time when people start their festive shopping – could you include a ‘gift of education for young person in Kenya this year?

During 30th November – 7th December all donations to our Big Give Christmas Challenge will be DOUBLED which means your donation has TWICE the impact! This is how far your donation could go with the matched funding…

  • £11 = 1 month of training and support for a young person – enabling them to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to secure a job or start a business
  • £15 = 100 nutritious cooked meals so students can focus on learning without worrying about being hungry
  • £30 = 10 individual counselling sessions for a young person who has suffered abuse or trauma
  • £50 = could provide new textbooks so students don’t have to share, and can take them home to study
  • £66 = full 6 month training course and support for a young person – enabling them to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to secure a job or start a business
  • £150 = 2 desktop computers enabling students to learn essential computer and business skills

Donating the gift of education will enable a young person to start building a safe, secure future for themselves and their families – a life free from poverty. We believe every young person deserves this opportunity. Thank you for choosing to support them.
