Our Kenyan-led Partner
We work in close partnership with Kenyan NGO, Growing Seeds (formerly Raising Futures Kenya), and have done successfully for over 20 years. Our Kenyan partner are a registered NGO in Kenya (Number: OP.218/051/2003/0378/3014).
We are recognised as a sector leader in genuine localisation and shifting power to our partner NGO in Kenya. Our Kenyan-led partner is building their capacity and resources to become fully self-reliant within the next 15 years. In the UK development sector, we are actively advocating for localisation of development work and funding, and have a goal to no longer be needed written into our strategic plan. We work closely on projects, with the Kenyan team managing the local implementation, alongside funding and evaluation support from our team in the UK. In the recent years the Kenyan team have recruited their own Fundraising and Communications Officer and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer, as we journey along and Shift The Power to the local team.
Please see the Seed of Hope website for about the work this incredible organisation does for young people, and see their social media pages for their latest news – Facebook and Instagram.
