On Sunday 26th February 2023 the wonderful award-winning broadcaster, youth rights activist and author, Gemma Cairney, will be presenting our BBC Radio 4 Appeal.
Gemma is passionate about engaging young people in the politics effecting their lives. She wrote a book which is a toolkit for helping young people overcome the challenges and issues they’ll face. She loves fashion and music and we just think she is the perfect person to represent Raising Futures Kenya and the young people we work alongside. We’re very excited to be working with her, and very grateful she has kindly agreed to present our appeal.

This is such a wonderful opportunity for us to let more people know about the work our passionate colleagues in Kenya do to support young people to become self-reliant and independent. Gemma will be sharing the story of an extraordinary former student of our Seed of Hope training programme and the adversity she has overcome.
