Our long-term supporters for over 15 years, Millennium Consulting, held their annual Charity Golf Day in September 2020 and raised an incredible £3,000 for us!

The socially-distanced golf day was held in Surrey, players faced cold weather, high winds but thankfully no rain. It was a Ryder Cup style Europe v USA team competition with the US team captained by Clive Hunt emerging as winners!

Following the golf and dinner our Chair of Trustees, Andy, provided a presentation about how the money raised from the 2019 golf day had been used and what things have been like at Raising Futures Kenya, and for the vulnerable people we work alongside, since COVID-19. The day raised an incredible £3,000 which will be used to support our Seed of Hope students next year to help them learn a skilled trade and find employment or set up their own business, breaking the cycle of poverty for themselves and their family.

We are delighted that Phil Keet, CEO of Millennium Consulting, joined us this year as our Patron. Phil was born in Kenya and has supported us for over 15 years.

A very special thank you to Phil, Sam, Millennium Consulting and everyone who organised and attended the Charity Golf Day – thank you!

The team at Millennium Consulting are already making plans for the next Golf Day in Summer 2021 – watch this space for more details!
