We invite you to join our team of Raising Futures Ramblers on the South Coast Challenge to raise funds for young people in Kenya to be equipped with skills for self-reliance through our Seed of Hope programme.
On 7th September a group made up of our tiny staff team and supporters will take on a 25km (15.5 mile) walk in the superb South Downs National Park. The route will start in Eastbourne, up Beachy Head, with a midway stop at Birling Gap, part of the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the South Downs Way to Alfriston
The event, which will involve about 2,000 adventurers raising funds for hundreds of different charities, is well organised by Ultra Challenge with full support and hospitality all the way! (There are options to do 50km or 100km for the much more adventurous!)
25km South Coast Challenge / 1st Quarter Challenge: Eastbourne > Alfriston (circled).
Notes on registering: Whichever registration fee & fundraising option you choose, as you complete the registration form:

I’ve signed myself up and am very excited, if perhaps also a little daunted by this challenge of over 15 miles over those hills! But I absolutely love walking the South Downs. I look out at the Downs from my home in Lewes, grew up close by, and with Raising Futures’ CEO, Kirsty also nearby in Brighton, this feels like a wonderful opportunity to come together with a group of lovely people to raise funds which can enable brighter futures for young people in Kenya!
We’d love you to join us! If you have any questions, just drop me an email at hello@raisingfutureskenya.org.uk with the subject ‘South Coast Challenge’.
