We’ve set an ambitious target of £9,000 in donations during the week, which would be doubled to a massive £18,000. This could fund vocational training, business skills, mental health support, warm lunches and wellbeing support for 3 classes of vulnerable young people in Kenya at one of our training centres.
The training and support will enable them to find a job or start a business, and build a future where they can be self-reliant and free from poverty.

Why: This is how far your donation could go with the matched funding to double your impact…
- £6 = Nutritious cooked meals for a student for 2 months so they don’t have to learn whilst hungry
- £15 = 4 care packages of sanitary and hygiene products preventing girls from missing school when on their period
- £25 = 2 months of a young person’s vocational training course enabling them to gain the skills needed to find employment or start a business
- £50 = could provide new textbooks and training equipment so students don’t have to share
- £75 = full 6 month training course and support for a young person – enabling them to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to secure a job or start a business
- £150 = 2 desktop computers enabling students to learn essential computer and business skills

UPDATE 30th November: Huge thank you to everyone for enabling us to reach our target. HOWEVER we still urgently need your support! Next year our costs will go up due to inflation, and the need for our free training courses and support will also go up as more young people are forced into poverty. Every £25 could fund a whole month of vocational and business skills training, plus counselling, food, childcare vouchers and menstrual hygiene packs. We still urgently need your support to continue enabling young people in Kenya to build a safe, financially secure future for themselves. Thank you.

When donating you will automatically be prompted to make a donation to the Big Give Trust (the organisation who run the matched funding), you can select Other and then change the amount to zero if you do not want to donate to them. We receive none of that additional donation.
